ghs strings are amongst the finest manufactured today. They come pre-packaged into different sets, but given the granularity in available gauges and materials, I prefer to create my own ‘standard’ sets.
Proven, balanced sets are:
for Tenor Banjo:      L10, L14, LW20, LW30 in stainless steel, loop end,
for Tenor Guitar:     10, 14, BB22, BB32 in Bright Bronze, ball end,
for Plectrum Banjo:  L12, L14, LW20, LW30 in stainless steel, loop end,
for Plectrum Guitar: 12, 14, BB22, BB32 in Bright Bronze, ball end.
Many combinations of gauges, materials, loop and ball ends are available.
